Lynda and Jools Topp. have ; made a reputation for them- ■ selves from their perform- ! ances and lifestyle Their first appearance was in Christchurch, for $5 and as many toasted sandwiches as they could eat Since then they have I busked in Auckland, toured ' New Zealand twice, and j worked up an act that in- ■ eludes such characters as I the Lurex Singers, a mine- ' ing cabaret duo. Their songs are about life j in New Zealand and were i prompted by the Springbok Tour, the women's anti- ■ nuclear movement and the j economy. I The Topp Twins will perI form in their own show at the Ngaio Marsh Theatre on March 24. at the Festival Cabaret on March 15. and as part of the Fringe Festival on March 15 and 16. [
