Drivers vow to extend action
NZPA-Reuter Innsbruck A truck blockade of the Brenner Pass linking Italy, and Austria has entered its sixth day with drivers vowing to extend their protest action indefinitely. The blockade, of more than 2000 trucks, began on Thursday with drivers demanding written guarantees from the Italian Government on faster customs clearance at the border. The truck drivers want round-the-clock customs clearance for trucks on four lanes.
