Guyana holds out for draw
NZPA-AAP Georgetown, Guyana Guyana held out the Australian attack to salvage a draw from the four-day cricket match at Georgetown yesterday. A hard-hitting 86 by Roger Harper and half-cen-turies by Milton Pydanna and Robin Seeram saw
Guyana safely avoid defeat when an Australian win seemed likely at tea. Guyana finished at 260 for eight with Clyde Butts on three and Ray Joseph nought. Australia had seemed on the verge of victory at tea with Guyana 116 for five, but Harper’s 86 from 113 balls saved the home side.
