PUBLIC notice is hereby given pursuant to the Dog Control and Hydatids Act 1982 that the Hurunui County Council has by resolution fixed the following fees for dogs three months of age or over within the boundrles of the County for the period April 1,1984, to March 31,1985. FEES PAYABLE ARE AS FOLLOWS: Dog control fees: $23 per dog covering Registration and Hydatids Control is due and payable on April 1, 1984. Additional fee: $lO per dog where registration is effected after May 31,1984, and the dog was required to be registered on April 1. 1984. COLLARS: A disc or a tag to attach to the existing collar will be supplied or a new collar can be supplied at an additional cost of $3. If the disc or tag is lost a replacement maybe obtained at a cost of $l. IMPOUNDING FEE: $lO (plus dally substanance fee of $1 per day). INFECTED DOGS: In addition to the fee payable in respect of any dog there shall be payable by the owner of the dog to the Council an additional fee of $2O if the dog has been diagnostically tested for Hydatids and the purged material from the dog has been found on examination to contain Hydatids. CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP: The previous owner and the new owner shall each within 14 days notify the Council Office in writing of a change of ownership and the residential address of the new owner. Death or loss of a dog must also be notified. TRANSFER OF DOG: Where dogs registered in one district are transferred to the district of another local authority the owner is required to notify the Council office in each district within 14 days of the new address at which the dog Is to be kept. A new disc shall be issued free by the Authority into which the dog is transferred. A. J. McKENDRY, County Clerk.
