Mr Barry Brill, a former National member of Parliament, has been appointed the general manager of the international division of Wattie Industries, Ltd. Mr Brill, who held the Kapiti seat from 1975 to 1981 and was the undersecretary of Energy, National Development and Regional Development, has had a contract as Wattie’s corporate affairs manager in Wellington since 1982. Before entering politics, he was in legal practice. Wattie’s says Mr Brill has now joined the company’s permanent staff. He will shift to Auckland for the new job, but will also continue to be the corporate affairs manager, requiring him to spend some time in Wellington.
