Webster 1:3 bonus issue
John Webster and Company, Ltd, the Aucklandbased menswear manufacturer, yesterday announced a one-for-three bonus issue, which will be made after the dividend freeze regulations end on February 29. The issue would participate fully in the final dividend for the year to March 31, the directors said. An increased profit is expected in the latest 12 months, with 10 months of the financial year already completed. The directors said that they were confident that they can at least maintain the present dividend rate on the higher capital after the bonus issue.
The shares are ex bonus on March 7, and to determine entitlements the company’s share register will close from March 9 until March 13.
