This truck lost some of its load of particle board on , Soleares Avenue, Mount Pleasant, yesterday morning before it rolled, unoccupied, down a steep bank. Several trees were knocked over and a plastic water pipe was ripped open by the truck before it came
to rest on a driveway. The truck’s fuel tank was also damaged. No-one was hurt in the incident. The driver, Mr Ross Lindstrom, left the truck parked on Soleares Avenue, after two pallets of the paticle board fell off, and went to telephone for assist-
ance. While Mr Lindstrom was away, the unattended truck rolled backwards, turned left, and crashed down the bank. Firemen from Woolston drained the damaged fuel tank and washed away the spilt petrol.
