Kotare Idyll chosen for fillies’ heat at Blenheim
By

Kotare Idyll, favoured with No. 1 at the barrier, could prove too speedy for her rivals in the first heat of the D.B. Export Flying Fillies’ Series at the Marlborough Trotting Club’s meeting at Waterlea tomorrow.
Kotare Idyll, a winner at Addington last April, has had only two starts this season, the most recent resulting in a third behind Free Win at the Amberley meeting on January 21. Those two races should have sharpened her for her first big test of the season in what is the richest race ever run by the Marl-
borough Trotting Club. The stake is $12,000.
Elkedra, so disappointing at the Motukarara trials on Tuesday, is too good to leave out, as is Sweet Alli, which will be having her first race start. Trained by Roger Sharpe at Sefton, she is inexperienced, but looks talented.
for Chorus Line and Ann Sherie, both from the North Island and both with winning form to their credit. They have at least had considerable experience in mobile start races and this should enable them to show to advantage. Jane Rousby and Nardia could be the pick of other southerners in the
field. Lord Kevello has great prospects of achieving a home town victory in the Radio Marlborough Handicap. He raced most unluckily at Nelson where he gained a third and a fifth. Deborah Dundee, Fawlty Towers, Zansark, Tumahu Hanover, and Soxygen appeal most of the remainder.
