Bulk theft of jeans
Burglars stole 480 pairs of jeans, valued at $12,000, from a Christchurch store at the week-end. A window was forced open by the thieves to gain entry to Williams and Green Pressing, Ltd, Tuam Street, between Friday evening and Sunday morning. The police did not know yesterday how the jeans
were carried from the presser’s store. A small quantity of drugs were taken from the Casebrook Pharmacy, Northcote, early yesterday morning. The pharmacy was broken into about 4.30 a.m. The drug squad was investigating the incident yesterday.
