Clear lead to Carter
Bob Carter increased his lead to 158 points in the Lion player of the season competition in the firstgrade cricket championship on Saturday. The Sydenham captain batted twice on the first day, scoring a halfcentury at his second appearance at the crease. Damien D’Oliveira (EastShirley) held second place and the only significant advance was made by the talented High School Boys all-rounder, Garry MacDonald, who moved from fifth to third place.
