Diverse decors

NZPA-Reuter Moscow A small number of tenants of new Soviet flats' are being allowed, as an experiment, to choose, the decor before moving in, the Government’s daily newspaper, “Izvestia,” said recently. Soviet builders usually decorate flats in a standard style.

The experiment is taking place in Tallin, capital of the Baltic republic of Estonia. The personal touches cost the tenants an average 126 roubles (about SNZ23O). Most popular requests are different coloured linoleum in hall and kitchen, tiled bathrooms, and particular colours of paint on walls.
