Saudis devalue
NZPA Bahrain Saudi Arabia devalued the riyal to 3.51 to the United States dollar from 3.50, ef-
fective from last Sunday, said a spokesman for the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency. Saudi Arabia last devalued the riyal to 3.50 to the dollar from 3.48 on December 25. Dealers said the move had been widely
expected because of the extraordinary strength of the U.S dollar on international currency markets.
