Oliver Harrow, aged nine, of Christchurch, hugs a giant teddy bear at the Canterbury Information Centre yesterday. “Ted” is one of three teddies to be at the teddy bears’ picnic at North Hagley Park on Sunday. Children have been invited to bring their own teddy bears along, and to take part in a teddy bears’ dance. Prizes will be awarded to children with the biggest, the smallest and the most original bears. Judging will be done at 1 p.m.
