DEPARTMENT KCq J ° f LABOUR VACANCY FOR MEDIATOR APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED for the position of Mediator, a statutory appointment under the Industrial Relations Act 1973. The position calls for an appointee with a good knowledge of procedures relevant to the settling of industrial disputes. Experience in the interpretation of awards of the Arbitration Court is desirable. Ability to maintain good relationships with employers’ and workers’ organisations is essential and good personality and appearance are important. The appointee will be located in Auckland, but will be required to travel to other centresfrom time to time. Appointment will be for the statutory term of three years and a successful appointee will be eligible for reappointment for further terms. The current commencement salary is $32,935 with a review after twelve months.
