The project includes the fitting and installation of some 110 kilometres of pipes less than 50mm in diameter a substantial proportion of which will be coupled by welding. The pipe fitters will be required to assemble and fit the joints prior to them being welded by welders and also to undertake the assembly of bolted or screwed joints, the installation of fittings such as valves, et cetera and the accurate bending of pipe using various methods.
