WHANGAREI OIL REFINERY EXPANSION PROJECT Jlffi SMALL BORE PIPE FITTERS Projected progress of the Refinery Expansion Construction requires the services of additional small bore pipe fitters now and over the next few months. The project includes the fitting and installation of some 110 kilometres of pipes less than 50mm in diameter a substantial proportion of which will be coupled by welding. The pipe fitters will be required to assemble and fit the joints prior to them being welded by welders and also to undertake the assembly of bolted or screwed joints, the installation of fittings such as valves, et cetera and the accurate bending of pipe using various methods. Applicants should have experience of reading and interpreting engineering and piping drawings. Persons skilled in such tasks are invited to make application to the recruitment office. Upgrading training will be considered for suitable tradesman applicants whose experience is not complete in all respects.
