CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL 111 CITY DOGS ENTERING RURAL DISTRICTS It is the responsibility of dog owners to have their dogs treated for hydatids during the period of 42 days prior to their being taken into a rural area. To assist dog owners to fulfil this responsibility, the Council’s Dog Control Officers will be available on all working days from Friday, December 9 1983, until Friday, January 13, 1984. Dog owners with dogs requiring hydatids treatments prior to Christmas are therefore requested to make early appointments by telephoning 791-660, extension 404, not later than 48 hours prior to the desired date of treatment. • For hydatids treatment required on December 29 and 30, 1983, and January 5 and 6, 1984, a service will be available at the City Dog Shelter, corner Ruru Road and Dyers Road, Bromley, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 noon and 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. when a Dog Control Officer will be in attendance. Normal services will continue from January 16, 1984. A certificate of treatment which must accompany the dog when it enters a rural district will be issued by the Officer.
