1956 Games debit clear by 1986
NZPA Melbourne The 1956 Olympic Games, at best a dimming memory for most people, are proving a financial marathon for Melbourne City ratepayers. This year they will contribute sAust.44,ooo towards paying off the cost of staging the Games, but the debt will be cleared by 1986.
