Fourth stock tender
PA Wellington Details of the fourth Government stock tender were announced by the Reserve Bank yesterday.
The tender is for a total of $4OO million, with maturities of one year, two years and six months, and eight years, being offered in conventional stocks and five and 10 years in indexed stocks.
The ordinary stocks on offer will be for $125 million at a coupon rate of 8 per cent maturing on December 15, 1984; $lOO million at 9 per cent maturing on June 15, 1986; and SSOM at 10 per cent maturing on October 15, 1991. The indexed stocks on offer will be for S7SM maturing on March 15, 1989 and SSOM maturing on March 15, 1994. Bids must be lodged by noon on December 15 while prospective bidders must register with the Reserve Bank by December 13.
In addition to the amounts offered, the Reserve Bank and the Earthquake and War Damages Commission will invest S3M in the indexed March 1989 stock and S4M in the December 1984 ordinary stock.
The Reserve Bank said tentative dates of February 2 and March 22 next year had been set for further tenders.
