Special correspondent Auckland Betters who made Ben a firm win favourite on the first night of the Thames Trotting Club’s meeting at Alexandra Park are unlikely to desert him on the second night tomorrow. Ben had to work hard to reach the lead in the middle part of the Rolfe Memorial last Saturday — he had been parked out — .and he showed his usual gameness when the challenges came.
