‘SPORTSMAN’ NAMED TOMORROW
The recipient of the 1983 New Zealand “Sportsman of the Year” award will be announced in Christchurch tomorrow evening. The finalists are Neroli Fairhall (archery), Richard Hadlee (cricket), Chris Lewis (tennis), the national rowing eight, the national rowing four, and Stu Wilson (rugby). Hadlee won in 1980, and the rowing eights of 1971, 1972 and 1982 were similarly honoured.
