Woman remanded
An unemployed woman charged with robbery was remanded in custody to October 28 when she appeared before Judge Frampton in the District Court yesterday. Tana Celia Panapa, aged 19, is charged with robbing Michelle Selina Brown of a
pair of shoes, worth $52, and $l7 in cash, on October 20. She was represented by a duty solicitor (Miss E. H. B. Thompson) who sought bail for Panapa. Bail was opposed by Sergeant W. P. Creasey be-
cause of the seriousness of the alleged offence. Panapa did not plead. DAMAGE CHARGE Two men charged with wilfully damaging a Housing Corporation building, to the value of $5OOO, were remanded without plea to October 28.
John Curline, aged 25, a contractor, and ' Kelvin Bruce Schenkel, aged 20, a labourer, were each allowed bail of $lOOO. They are charged with committing the offence on October 6.
