One of the South Island’s foremost riders, Grant Oliver of Christchurch, performs a wheel-stand while practising on a Honda TL250 last evening for the New Zealand motor-cycle trials championship which will begin at Purau today. Oliver, who was third in the recent South Island championship, hopes to do well in the national event in territory that he knows well. The first two days of the competition will both be at Purau. The final day on Monday will be at Kaituna Valley.
