Choir to sing for country
PA Napier The St John’s Anglican Cathedral choir, Napier, has been invited to represent New Zealand on a special 8.8. C. World Service Christmas programme. The choir will sing two carols as New Zealand’s contribution to the programme, “30 Minutes of
Carols from Around the World.”
The cathedral’s organist, Mr Gary Bowler, said that the invitation was made on the recommendation of Dr Lionel Dakers, director of the Royal School of Church Music in England, who visited Napier about 18 months ago.
