Starline sound bet at Oamaru

By G. K. YULE

Starline should break through for a deserved first win for the season in the Fulton Hogan Handicap, first leg of the T.A.B. double at the Oamaru Trotting Club’s meeting tomorrow. The daughter of Armbro Del shaped like an early winner when third at her first start for the season. She went one better at Forbury Park last Saturday when she ran the speedy Colonel Whiskers to a length and a quarter, with Lucky Boy back in third place. She will have to improve very little on that effort to come out on top. Larry James scraped home at the end of 2700 m at Forbury last Saturday when having his third start for the season. He is owned and trained in the North Otago district and should make another bold showing. There will be support, too, for Bold Bret, Miss Bromac, Jet’s Sister and Hand Back. Sure Charlie, King Alba and Miss Croupier form a likely trio for the' second leg, the W. B. McCone Memorial Handicap.
