Dog show
A total of 818 dogs, representing 87 different breeds, have been entered in the North Canterbury Kennel Association’s Labour Day dog show at Swannanoa Domain, north of Christchurch.
Added interest this year will be the presence of three overseas judges who are at present touring New Zealand attending shows.
Mrs N. and Mr A. Lim from Manila and Mrs V. Scott from Sydney, will join Miss J. Wiffen of Christchurch in the mammoth task of judging all the entries.
The largest number of entries are in the toy and gun dog sections, and a total of 97 dogs have been entered in the $2OO puppy all breed sweepstake.
The Swannanoa Domain is about 6km up the Tram Road from the northern motorway.
