Antarctic service
Officers of the United States Naval Support Force Antarctica and New Zealand servicemen will gather at Christchurch Cathedral tomorrow morning for the annual Antarctic service. Also attending will be representatives of the Antarctic Division of the D.5.1.R., the New Zealand Antarctic Society, the Canterbury Museum, and local
bodies, including the Mayor and Mayoress of Christchurch, Sir Hamish Hay and Lady Hay. The service will be led by the Dean of the Christchurch, the Very Rev. Maurice Goodall, and the preacher will be the Rev. John Neal, of Highfield, Timaru. Mr Neal is himsellf a pilot and aviation instructor.
