The Mayoress of Christchurch, Lady Hay, stacks blankets presented to her by the Christchurch Area Foundation of the Townswomens Guilds at the Civic Offices yesterday. Handing the blankets to her is the president of the guild, Mrs B. Buchanan. About 30 blankets were collected. They will be included in the Mayor’s Welfare Fund for use by street kids.
