Dobbyn outlook
Dave Dobbyn, of D.D. Smash, is among the six finalists of the Australasian Performing Right Association, Ltd, (APRA) Silver Scroll Award, for his hit song, “Outlook For Thursday.” The APRA award, worth $lOOO, is made annually for the best popular musical work recorded and broadcast.
The other five finalists and their songs are: Stephen Bell-Booth, “All I Want Is You.” Rhondda Jones, “You’ve Been Talking About Me.” Herb McQuay, “Superstar.” Dennis O’Brien and David Porter, “Only The Night To Kill.” Patsy Riggir, “Beautiful Lady.” The winner will be announced at an award ceremony at Auckland on September 30.
