Party director chosen
Mr Barrie Cook of Wellington has been appointed the National Party’s new communications director. For the last 2% years Mr Cook has been communications director with the New Zealand Employers’ Federation and before that was a member of the Government Research Unit in Parliament
Mr Cook was born in Gisborne and worked as a journalist for the “Gisborne Herald” after leaving school. He later studied at Waikato University and has a Bachelor of Social Science degree in psychology and sociology, and a Master of Social Science degree in sociology.
