Lower fares to Aust.
PA Wellington New low air fares for return travel between Australia and New Zealand during October and November were announced yesterday by Air New Zealand. The fares, which will apply to both Air New Zealand and Qantas services, go on sale today, and must be booked at least seven days in advance for visits of no less than 10 days.
Air New Zealand said the fares were introduced as an incentive to stimulate travel in a period of low demand. Return travel to Sydney will be available at $399, a saving of $125 over the present lowest fare. Similar levels of savings •are available to Brisbane ($449), and Melbourne ($499), with the carriers’ other destinations of Hobart, Perth, Adelaide, Townsville, and Darwin included in the low fare package.
