PA Wellington When the House sat at 9.30 a.m., the Dannevirke and District Soldiers Institute Dissolution Bill was given a third reading. Mr T. K. Burke (Lab., West Coast) presented a petition from Mr I. L. Hoggarth of Greymouth and 170 others, calling for the Government to abandon the
State Services Conditions of Employment Amendment Bill.
Members lodged seven notices of motion and Ministers answered 20 questions. The Air Services Licensing Amendment Bill was reported back from the Commerce and Energy select committee on a 39-34 division. An Opposition amendment to have the bill referred back to the committee for further consideration, was defeated, 34-39. Tnt.Arrunted debate on the
Interrupted debate on the second reading of the Customs Orders Confirmation Bill resumed, and the bill was set down for committal next sitting day. The Government Life Insurance Corporation Bill, the Apprenticeship Bill, and the Marine Farming Amendment Bill were given further consideration in committee and passed through their final stages. The House rose at 1 p.m.
