University Vacancies UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO DUNEDIN ASSISTANT LECTURER IN SURVEYING APPLICATIONS are Invited from suitably qualified Surveyors, preferably with a special Interest and experience In engineering surveying and the heavy construction field, for the post of Assistant Lecturer In the Department of Surveying. Duties may Include lecturing In plane and engineering surveying and the successful candidate may also be required to lecture In geodesy and geodetic surveying. Applicants with experience in the above fields or with knowledgeand experience in other branches of surveying will be considered. Appointments to assistant lectureships are normally for a period of three years and provide an opportunity for the staff member to engage in research or acquire a second or higher qualification. The successful applicant will be required to commence duties no later than the end of January 1984 and may be required to attend the field camp commencing on Janu-. ary 29 1984 SALARY: Assistant Lecturer $16,123 — $18,732 per annum.
