DUTIES: This position has been created for the purpose of inducting a replacement Manager Administration for Waikato Hospital and Fairholm, who is responsible for the procurement of supplies and services for the hospital and the control and administration of the hospital's nontreatment staff with the exception of the dietary and engineering departments. SUPERVISOR - COMMUNITY ALCOHOL SERVICE The Waikato Hospital Board and support (Presbyterian Social Services) are establishing a joint outpatient service to offer assessment, treatment and aftercare to alcoholics, those with alcohol-related problems and their families. The service, which is community based, wHI also offer information and Education to community groups and professionals. It is Hamilton based, but will service the bbard's area not already covered by its present alcohol services. The-Supervisor will be involved In the challenge of developing this new service and will manage it day to day. Tasks will include administration and the supervision of several staff as well as clinical work. Applicants will have significant experience in the treatment of alcoholism and a relevant qualification (Social work, Psychology, Nursing or other). Experience In management, staff supervision and the ability to liaise with professionals and community groups is highly desirable. A vehicle will be provided.
