Council election
The managing director of Fletcher Challenge, Mr Hugh Fletcher, has been re-elected chairman of the New Zealand committee of the Pacific Basin Economic Council.
Also re-elected, as the first vice chairman, was the Federated Farmers’ president, Mr Rob Storey. Mr Norman Geary, the chief executive of Air New Zealand, became the second vice-chairman, according to the committee’s direc-tor-general, Mrs Esme Marris.
