Historic jet flight
NZPA New York Pan American World Airways, which brought jet travel to commercial aviation 25 years ago, will reenact the inaugural flight of the Boeing 707 Flight 114 from New York to Paris on October 26.
The twenty-fifth anniversary flight on a 707 sistership of the original jet clipper America will carry 84 passengers and a crew of 10. It will retrace exactly the October 26, 1958, flight. The passenger list, by invitation only, will include Captain Samuel Miller, skipper on the original flight that departed from Idlewild International Airport
