Police name dead men
PA Timaru The Timaru police yesterday named a man who was killed instantly when the car he was driving and a truck collided on State highway 1, just north of Temuka, on Wednesday afternoon. He was Alexander Watson Smith, aged 82, of Church Street, Timaru. The third person who died when a car burst into flames after an accident at Te Aroha last week-end has been identified, reports the Press Association from Hamilton. He was Kevin Ross Smith, aged 24, of Te Aroha. A man died when he was struck by a car at Edendale Southland, early on Wednesday evening. He was Francis John Hall, aged 77, married, of Edendale.
