NZPA Newport, Rhode Island Australia II yesterday sailed to within one race of the right to challenge for the America’s Cup. Showing superior tactics and greater speed than
Britain’s Victory ’B3, the Australians notched their third straight win in the best of seven challenger elimination series.
The yachts race again today giving Australia II the chance to settle the series.
