New men at helm
Two well-known competitors, Doug Smith and Neil Graham, have taken over the promotion of Woodford Glen speedway. Trading under the name of “Dirt Track Racing Services,” the new promoters have done their homework in preparing the forthcoming programme.
The highlights of the season, which will begin next month, will be a saloon car test against Australia in December and, in January, the New Zealand stock car championships. The saloon car test will be the third and final in a series. The first two will be run on North Island tracks. Spectators at Woodford Glen will, however, see the three Australian representatives in action before the test when they appear in a daylight meeting soon after their arrival in New Zealand month.
