Promoter for trial on drugs charge
PA Auckland The director and entertainment promoter, Hugh Lynn, has been committed for trial in the High Court in Auckland on a charge of possessing a class B controlled drug, methamphetamine, for supply. Lynn, aged 40, of Mount Eden, appeared in the District Court charged under his full name, Hugh Harewara Lynn-McAuley. After a preliminary hearing, Lynn pleaded not guilty
to the charge and was committed to the High Court on October 14 for a trial date to be set. Lynn pleaded not guilty to further charges of possession of cannabis and possession of amfepramone. Mr W. R. Familton and Mrs A. V. Fitzpatrick, Justices of the Peace, adjourned these two charges to the same date. Lynn was granted bail in the High Court of $lO,OOO, with two similar sureties.
