Rameses could show true worth tonight

Rameses, an expensive failure at Addington Raceway last Saturday, will be presented with an excellent opportunity to display his true ability in the Hillmorton Mobile Stakes on the final night of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s meeting there this evening.
The promising four-year-old son of Noodlum and Viva Reine encountered traffic problems, at a vital stage in his event last week, in which he was favourite. His trials form has been excellent lately and despite a wide draw he should atone tonight. Flat Tack, Lord Kevello and Best Dream are expected to offer most opposition to the likely favourite. The race has been robbed of considerable interest by
the scratching of Steady Edition. His regular driver, Robert Cameron, has switched to Formal Fella. Cameron’s other drives include Royal Premier, a leading candidate for the Visitors’ Stakes.
Royal Premier finished last on the first day of the meeting after being involved in a skirmish near the 700 m mark. Enough was seen of Royal Premier last season to suggest that he will be capable of matching most in this face for C2 horses.
Krazy Horse fought on for a solid win last Saturday and, even from the second line, he will have to be considered. He seems to be much improved this season.
Classical, Griff, Vanda Hanover and Buono Volato have gone well enough at times to be considered fair chances.
