Banks Pen. profit of $19,309
Although costs of maintaining the racecourse rose by 43.6 per cent to $12,226, the Banks Peninsula Trotting Club showed a profit of $19,309, according to the report of the president, Mr Ross Stanbury, to be presented at the annual meeting this evening. The club showed a profit of $17,038 for the previous 12 months. Members will be told that
as a result of sponsorship, increased stake subsidies and acceptance fees, stakes were increased by $lO,OOO to Z. $68,000 for the season.
Attendances increased during the season, with a record of 10,018 adults packing the course for the December meeting when there was a record on-course turnover of $420,905.
