Fellowship extended
PA Wellington The Auckland University Literary Fellowship, which is funded jointly by the university and the New Zealand Literary Fund, will have its tenure extended from six months to nine months from 1984.
The Minister of the Arts, Mr Highet, said the extension would enable the fellowship to correspond to the academic year.
The 1983 fellowship is held by Michael Gifkins. Next year’s fellow will be chosen in November.
