Water rations
Water rationing to residents has begun on the main American Samoan island of Tutuila after lack of rain and rising salt levels in Govern-ment-run water wells. The rotating 12-hour shut-off schedule affects only the south-central portion of the island. Others parts of the island use village water catchment systems. — Pago Pago.
