Taxi driver injury charge

PA Auckland A Glen Eden man charged with injuring with intent was yesterday released on bail of $lOOO with a similar surety. August Jospeh Williams, aged 27, a machine operator, pleaded not guilty before Judge Mitchell in the District Court at Auckland to a charge that he injured William Paniora with intent to causes grievous bodily harm on Sunday. The Judge remanded Williams to November 8 for a hearing. The charge arose from an incident in which part of a taxi driver’s nose was bitten off.
