Cassidy out for month
PA Hastings The Hastings jockey, Jim Cassidy, has undergone two operations in a Hastings hospital and does not intend to resume race-riding for at least a month. Cassidy, who has suffered from tonsilitis for several months, had his tonsils removed yesterday morning. His nose, injured in a racefall many months ago, was also rebroken and set Cassidy will be discharged from hospital on Wednesday. He will then spend a couple of weeks recuperating at home before taking a fortnight’s holiday in Hong Kong. He, expects to resume, race-riding in New Zealand on September 10.
