Woolston leads bowls
Woolston W.M.C., the winner of last year’s A grade indoor bowls inter-club competition, leads both the A and B grade sections of this year’s K. Hooper (Quinns Road) maintains his unbeaten record after nine rounds of play in the individual singles. He is one point ahead of C. Fergusson (Spreydon School). D grade: Richmond 164, Burwood 135, Quinns Rd 121. E grade: Shirley B.H.S. 159, Paparoa St 158, St Peter’s 145. F grade: Northcote 176, Burwood 153, Spreydon School 150.
