39 get shield puzzle right
The second Ranfurly shield word puzzle last week gave readers less problems than they had with the first. There was only one correct entry for the first, on the North Otago challenge, but 39 for the puzzle linked to Southland’s bid.
The top two prize-winners drawn from the correct entries were Gavin Lucas, of 16 Crosby Street, and Kim Mcßeath, of 35 Downing Street. They both receive copies of the book, “Graham Mourie — Captain” and double passes to tomorrow’s Mid-Canterbury challenge.
The third prize of double passes to tomorrow’s game has gone to Coral Stupples, of 57 Westburn Terrace. Of the incorrect entries last week the two most
common mistakes were in respect to the answers “Hiini” and “Ned Hughes.” Another puzzle, relating
to the Mid-Canterbury challenge, will appear on a special Ranfurly Shield page tomorrow.
