Eye checks on Islands
PA Auckland A team from the optometry section of the University of Auckland will visit Vanuatu in August. It will check for eyesight problems among Islanders in some of the outer islands of Vanuatu and supply spectacles where needed. The trip follows up a visit in 1981 to Tonga, where 700 people were examined, most of whom had not received any eyesight care.
