Capt. Phillips in Chch event
Captain Mark Phillips, husband of Princess Anne, will be among several overseas guests in a televised “Superstars" sports competition in Christchurch on November 18. The sportsmen will canoe, cycle, lift weights, and perform gymnastics in Auckland on November 17, then play soccer, run, shoot, swim, and complete an ob-
stacle course in Christchurch the next day. The Christchurch section of the competition will be produced by David McPhail and John Lye, both of TVNZ, Christchurch. TVNZ’s head of entertainment, Mr Tom Parkinson, said that arrangements for the competition had been made with a British promotional company, Transworld International.
