Shultz concedes failure
NZPA-Reuter Cairo The American Secretary of State, Mr George Shultz, conceding failure to achieve any progress on the withdrawal of foreign troops from Lebanon, said yesterday that he would return to the Middle East to follow up his mission. After a 75-minute meeting with the Egyptian President, Mr Hosni Mubarak, Mr Shultz said: “Obviously we still have major problems which remain to be resolved ... sooner or later I’ll here.”
